7 Types of Healthy Food Products That Makes You Feel Tired

Do you have that feeling that you are tired all the time? If the answers is yes than it is a big possibility that some of the reasons for that are the big list of things that you do during the day or even the lack of sleep at night.  Another reason for that feeling can be found in those healthy products that you consume all the time.

Here we are not going to talk about the kind of fatigue that you experience after eating donuts or refined carbohydrates. There are many nutrition snacks that can disrupt your digestion system, raise the level of sugar in the blood and even wake you up in the middle of the night.

This is a list of 7 healthy products responsible for that:

1. Oats
Let’s make it clear first, oats are fantastic and healthy food that will supply with enough energy for one day, but that addition of maple syrup or instant oats can raise your blood sugar and decrease your energy.

By adding one-quarter of maple syrup which by the way is a really small amount, contains 50 grams of sugar precisely.

Our advice for you in order to avoid losing energy and feeling tired eat oatmeal but make sure to combine it with hazelnut butter or chia seeds. They contain enough proteins and healthy fats and can reduce the sugar in your blood.

2. Nonfat yogurt
Not every yogurt is made in the same way. In fact, in 170 grams of defatted chocolate yogurt produced by organic company has 35 grams of sugar- more than a snicker bar has.

To avoid losing energy buy plain Greek yogurt and add blueberries or hazelnuts. Greek yogurt has twice as much protein than the regular yogurts.

3. Vegetable chips
Just because there is a “vegetable” name on the products it doesn’t mean that it has sufficient amounts of it inside. These crispy and processed sticks are made from potato starch and carbohydrates that will cause that feeling of fatigue if you overuse them.

That’s way it is a much better option to make your own potato chips with fresh vegetables like kale, sweet potatoes of beets.

If this seems like too much work for you than you can become an old fashion and prepare yourself fresh carrots with hummus since they are full of proteins that can supply you with enough energy and fibers.

4. Red wine
Studies have shown that drinking wine before bedtime can disrupt your sleep which means that you will feel tired the following day.  If you want to avoid all of that, then you need to stop drinking wine before bedtime. On the other hand if you really have to drink it, than do it 2 to 3 hours before going to bed.

A much better option would be if you could drink wine during your lunch. Also, don’t forget to drink at least one glass of water for every glass of alcohol that you had.

5. Coffee
If you are struggling to fall asleep, then perhaps it is time to change your caffeine habits and drink coffee only early in the morning. The reason way we say this is because the stress levels of the hormone cortisol which are usually much higher begin to stabilize until the morning. Also, try avoiding drinking coffee after 3 pm.

Studies have shown that consuming caffeine 6 hours before your bedtime can take one hour of quality sleep.

A better option would be to drink coffee around 10 am or maybe at noon for an optimal energy boost. At that time the levels of cortisol will begin to go down and you will definitely have some benefits from the coffee.

6. Fruit smoothie
Don’t be fooled by those smoothies both in store, since they have 52 grams of sugar and low amount of fat, proteins and fibers all necessary components for keeping you energized.
Make sure to make your own smoothie with vegetables and always include proteins and healthy fats like butternuts or avocado.

7. Energy bars
Even do they are full of vitamins and minerals, most of them are full with substances that cause drastic fluctuation in your energy, especially if you eat them as snacks.

In fact, the first ingredient inside every energy bar is brown sugar syrup. What does that mean? That means that they are at the same level as those insanely good chocolate bars that you eat them.

To avoid this you can eat energy bars that are made from real food and which have much shorter and recognizable ingredient inside- the healthier it is the better will be for eating. Also, make sure there is no sugar chemical and buy energy bar that has good amounts of fibers and proteins.
